Lauren Lulu Taylor, our CEO & Co-founder hails from the US but found herself in New Zealand when the pandemic hit. When life threw her a curveball and she lost her job (thanks, COVID), she and another mum decided to start something awesome. Armed with just $1000 and a couple of glue sticks, they kicked off Secret Kiwi Kitchen from their kitchen by sticking on self printed labels to coffee bags filled with their delicious mixes. Talk about starting from scratch, right?
Fast forward, and here we are, rocking the shelves of 400 stores in New Zealand. Over a million folks have tasted our goodies so far – pretty wild, huh? We are stunned by this amazing achievement
What makes us special? It's all about the good stuff. We're talking top-quality ingredients like hormone-free milk and GMO-free flour, straight from the heart of NZ. All our ingredients are 100% all natural. No Nasties EVER!
Now, onto the fun part: Lulu's love for flowers inspired our range of dried edible flowers. They are so fun to sprinkle on everything from baking to cheese boards and cocktails for an instant upgrade!
Lulu's so obsessed with edible flowers, she's even written a book about it – "Feasting on Flowers" which is available on Amazon.
While we're starting with our flowers for our USA launch, we've planning on releasing our baking mixes later in the year. We so excited to share our progress with you. Please bear in mind as you navigate our website you might encounter so baking mixes- apologies that they are not yet available. We are working on making our US site better.
