At Secret Kiwi Kitchen we care about the environment and sustainability. Even though we are a small business, we believe small changes add up. Our goal is to have in the next 3 years fully sustainable packaging and to offset our carbon footprint 100%. We believe every decision has an impact and we are working hard to make decisions that will lead to a greener and healthier New Zealand and world.

We are passionate about using natural ingredients in all our products. Most of our ingredients are unprocessed and free of chemical additives and preservatives. We make sure core ingredients like cocoa have clear supply lines and provide workers with fair wages.

We use home compostable or plastic recyclable mailer bags and use biodegradable protective fillers instead of plastic. Additionally, we are working with our packaging provider to transition to eco-friendly packaging across all our product lines. In November 2020, we changed our mix pouches to a fully soft recyclable material. We are working across all product lines to make eco-conscious decisions.

We are trying to better understand the impact of our carbon footprint - and in 2020-21 we’re committed to evaluating all our supply lines and to invest in key initiatives that will help to offset our carbon footprint. This year we will be donating a portion of our net profits to Trees That Count.

Healthy children are what will lead to a brighter and greener future. We are committed to supporting charities that support children. We have a partnership with Eat My Lunch and donate a portion of our sales to support their initiatives to feed children.

We will continue to share our progress with you and ask for your input.  If you have any suggestions for how we can be a greener and more humanitarian company, please get in touch. We’re always looking for ways to improve our processes. Together we can take steps to ensure a brighter kinder world for our children, friends and family.

We’d love to hear from you.
